Weatherization - The complete Solution
Part 2 - Insulation

Once the air-sealing has been completed, our insulation team moves in to provide a continuous thermal barrier over and around your home.
We insulate homes with all three forms of insulation:
- fiberglass batts
- blown-in cellulose
- spray foam (icenyne)
We definitely push cellulose insulation more than the other two types of insulation. As explained here, fiberglass does not have any air-sealing capabilities and also has the lower "R-value" per inch of depth of the three types of insulation. Cellulose has most of the benefits of spray foam insulation except for the waterproof attribute. This capability is only useful in certain specific circumstances. Click here for more details on the differences between cellulose and spray foam.
Our equipment is tested regularly by state inspectors. Our cellulose blowing machines have to dense-pack walls at a minimum of 3.5psi. Our smallest machine (Accuforce 9400) blows over 4.0 psi. Our largest machine (Krendl 1300) blows at well over 5.0psi. Above, our equipment being tested at one of our customer's houses by a state inspector.
Our Cellulose insulation is more efficient at sound proofing.
