"It's always a wonderful surprise to find a professional who IS professional; timely, competent, considerate of the surroundings, and effective.
ABT is all of these things. The prices we were quoted were firm and accurate, the crew showed up exactly when scheduled, the work was done effectively and neatly, the clean-up was great, and the quality control was wonderful.
The results were better than we expected and we have a huge old barn of a home right on the water, creating all types of problems; access (when you have 4 floors and only one side of the house has a sidewalk while everything else is water), construction certainty (the house was built in 1892 and the As-Builts are a joke) and effectiveness. In 2 days following job completion, we were hit with 0 degree temperatures. Our indoor ambient temperatures held and even went up and it is the first time our heating system could keep the house warm in 27 years.
ABT is also quite knowledgeable about energy efficiency, available products, recommendations based on site-specific conditions, and dealing with government rebate and grant programs. I would recommend ABT to anyone who has a drafty home with lots of quirks in an impossible location buffeted by fierce winds." (Posted: 1/27/2011)

"I had insulation blown into the walls and attic of my 2-family house in Somerville and these guys did a fantastic job. Very professional, hard working and they insulated spots that I wouldn't have considered so in my view it was obvious that they know what they are doing. Work was completed on time and they setup cleaners to come in and dust the place which was incredibly necessary. The cleaners did a great job as well.
House feels much more comfortable now and I would certainly use these guys again for contracting work.

"ABT completed blown-in insulation in my Dorchester 3rd floor unit in November 2010. Romain and Jose were friendly, easy going, professional and the work was completed on time (minus a vent that was put in two weeks later). The place was vacuumed clean which made me very happy. They were in and out in a day and everything put back the way it was. I even have an extra flashlight now :)
In all, great experience, responsive professionals and the price felt right.
I'm not sure if it's psychological but the place feels warmer and my heating bill is showing 24% less usage over the last month compared to the same time last year even though there are more people living here now. I'll continue to follow the trends but it seems that it was all worth it.

"I called two different companies for quotes on blown-in cellulose insulation - ABT was the smaller of the two, quotes were similar in price. I went with ABT as I liked the fact that I was dealing with the owners. They have several high tech infrared temperature readers. Their team was professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable. Even though our job ended up being more complicated than orginally anticipated, Romain did not try to charge any more or shortcut the job. "i was very pleased with the service and the price. Romaine is a stand up guy and performed all of the insulation tasks seamlessly, great cleanup and install. and alll of the rebate promisses he made were TRUE. i am getting almost 65% back betrween the utility and the tax incentive.

"We used ABT as the contractor to install insulation in our attic. They are one of the vendors on the list of approved contractors working with National Grid Rebate Program. From the initial phone call, to the home visit and estimate, to the completion of the job, my husband and I were impressed with the professionalism of the representative (Romaine) and quality of the work performed. Five workers showed up and they were all polite, hard workers: conscientious of keeping our floors protected while they worked. They were at our house for about 10 hours and worked steadily along. No breaks, no standing around talking on their cell phones. It's rare to find a company to work with whose people are polite and professional, who do what they say they will do, stick to the estimate price, show up on time, AND do a great job. "These guys work very hard, on my job they worked 12 hours a day, for 2 days straight! There were no slackers. One guy was drilling holes all day and by 3PM I asked him if his arm was sore from holding a 50lbs drill and he responded with “I can no longer feel it” but he kept on drilling. Their work is truly a testament to ABT’s unwavering devotion to customer satisfaction! Go with these guys they have the best rates, service, and experience! Also they really do care about their work and final product, unlike some of the other companies. Also my house is much warmer now after getting insulation blown in from these guys! ABT all the way!
